Clinical care
Medication Management
Evaluation, prescribing and follow-up — handled as part of your care rather than in a separate silo.
Medication works better when someone is watching how it lands.
Medication is a tool, not a verdict. For some people it is the thing that makes therapy possible; for others it is not needed at all. Which of those is true is a clinical question, and it is worth asking properly.
The part that often goes missing is the follow-up. A prescription written and never reviewed is a common reason people conclude that medication does not work for them. At Mana, review is built into the care rather than left to chance.
Because prescribing and therapy sit in the same organization, the person prescribing can know how the rest of your care is going — without you having to be the messenger between two offices.
Who this may help
- People already taking something who want it properly reviewed
- People whose therapist has suggested an evaluation
- Adults who have stopped medication because of side effects and want another look
- People managing both mental health and substance use concerns
What we will not do online
Nothing on this website is medical advice, and we cannot discuss your medication over a web form. Bring it to an appointment or a phone call, where it can be handled properly and privately.
Part of your care
Medication management is for people enrolled at Mana, as part of their care alongside the rest of their treatment.
What to expect
How it usually goes.
An evaluation
A prescriber goes through your history, what you are taking now, what has been tried, and what happened when it was.
A conversation about options
Including the option of not starting anything. Benefits and side effects are discussed before a decision, not after.
Follow-up
Review appointments to see how it is actually working, and to change course if it is not.
Who prescribes here
Prescribing at Mana is provided by a licensed psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), working inside the same team as the therapists you see — not at arm’s length from your care.
